\n\ud83d\udccd Pemba, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique<\/p>\n
Huretek is recruiting an experienced Operations Manager for our client.
\nBased in Pemba, you will lead all logistics and operational activities in Mozambique and take full responsibility for the Pemba office and its team.
\nThe role reports to the Country Manager, with functional reporting to the Financial Director.<\/p>\n
Key responsibilities:
\n\ud83d\udce6 Operations: manage logistics operations and make sure jobs are delivered on time, safely and to the required quality. Respond quickly to client requests and RFQs, and give clients daily updates.
\n\ud83d\udcb0 Financial and job files: take responsibility for the gross margin of your job files. Monitor costs against budget, and supervise job file documentation, invoicing and closing. Control petty cash and expenses.
\n\ud83d\udcca Reporting: send daily operational reports and monthly profitability reports to management. Escalate incidents quickly and keep accurate, auditable records.
\n\ud83e\uddba Compliance and safety: make sure the team follows Group policies, safety rules, regulations and ISO standards, and promote safe working practices.
\n\ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddff Local content: train, mentor and develop national employees, and transfer skills to the local team in Pemba.
\n\ud83e\udd1d Leadership: lead the team in a hands-on way and represent the company professionally with clients, authorities and partners.<\/p>\n
Profile we’re looking for:
\n\u2705 Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role in logistics, freight forwarding or oil & gas support services
\n\u2705 Strong team leadership and a hands-on, solution-driven approach
\n\u2705 Good financial understanding: budgets, gross margin, invoicing and cost control
\n\u2705 Knowledge of HSE, ISO standards and compliance requirements
\n\u2705 Experience in Mozambique, ideally in Cabo Delgado, is a strong advantage
\n\u2705 Fluent Portuguese and English
\n\u2705 Available to be based in Pemba and reachable 24\/7 when operations require it<\/p>\n
