Kwena Offshore is currently recruiting for an experienced Country Contract Manager to join a major international project in Mozambique.
This is a key position responsible for overseeing the contractual and commercial aspects of project execution in Mozambique. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Director, Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and JV partners to ensure contracts are effectively managed and contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.<\/p>\n
\u25cf Monitor contractual obligations and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
\u25cf Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks.
\u25cf Proactively identify commercial opportunities arising from the contract.
\u25cf Support the Project Director and Project Managers with negotiations relating to variations, changes, claims, and contractual matters.
\u25cf Develop and implement effective contract management strategies tailored to project requirements.
\u25cf Manage client correspondence and contractual documentation.
\u25cf Prepare, negotiate, and administer Variations and contractual changes.
\u25cf Attend client and project meetings relating to contractual and commercial matters.
\u25cf Assist with the negotiation and administration of subcontracts and purchase orders.
\u25cf Liaise with Joint Venture (JV) partners to ensure alignment on contractual obligations and commercial matters.
\u25cf Provide contractual support during disputes and potential arbitration proceedings, in coordination with legal advisors.
\u25cf Maintain accurate contractual records and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained throughout the project.<\/p>\n
\u25cf Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
\u25cf 5-6 years\u2019 relevant experience in contract management.
\u25cf Experience within the energy, oil & gas, EPC, or industrial construction sector.
\u25cf Proven experience managing large-scale industrial projects with complex contractual structures.
\u25cf Strong understanding of contracts, legal agreements, commercial principles, and financial analysis.
\u25cf Experience with variations, claims, negotiations, and subcontract administration.
\u25cf Strong commercial awareness and contractual risk-management skills.
\u25cf Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
\u25cf Ability to work effectively with international clients, contractors, subcontractors, and JV partners.
\u25cf Fluent in English, both written and spoken.<\/p>\n
