Our client, a global leading provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Visits and Events Coordinator for Afungi\/Pemba.<\/p>\n

Activities<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Understand requirements for each event<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Plan event with attention to budget and time constraints<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Manage all the logistics of the event: prepare, gather and organize all means to cover the event\/visit such as the list of invited people, transportation, confirmation of attendance, etc.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Coordinate all aspects related to the event including putting together a dedicated team to prepare the program, coordinate with all entities (within the company and externals) and lead the good execution of the program during the visit.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Manage all event operations.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Evaluate event\u2019s success and submit reports.<\/p>\n

This position will be based in Pemba and will be on behalf of the Public Affairs and Communication team.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0HSE Risks:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Risk of slips, trips and falls;<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ergonomic hazards;<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Psychosocial hazards.<\/p>\n

Qualifications\/Experience required<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Degree in hospitality management, public relations or relevant field is preferred<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Proven experience as event coordinator<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0A proven track record of organizing successful events<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Proficient in MS Office<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Excellent vendor management skills<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Outstanding communication and negotiation ability<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Well-organized with multi-tasking skills<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Able to handle stress and remain calm<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Problem-solving ability<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Must speak, read and write English and Portuguese fluently.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ability to build and maintain effective working relationship with clients<\/p>\n
