Our client, a leading global provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Territorial Development Senior Manager to based in Afungi.<\/p>\n

JOB SUMMARY:<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Develop and implement tactical plans for stakeholder engagement, land access, and cultural heritage management plans.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Implement objectives for the Afungi social performance program.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Build and maintain strong relationships with communities, government, CSO, and Community Based Organizations.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Implemented stakeholder engagement plans, including communication and grievance mechanisms.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Manage the interface with Area 4 at the Afungi site level.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Oversee land access and resettlement programs, ensuring compliance.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Manage the resettlement team, livelihood restoration programs and community collective and development Fund.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Develop and implement social investment initiatives and manage budgets.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Lead and mentored the social performance team at site level.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensured compliance with social performance regulations and prepared reports from Site performance.<\/p>\n

HSE and Security Risks<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Security – Engaging with stakeholders in a conflict area with traumatized community<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Road safety hazards<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Risk of slips, trips and falls and Ergonomic hazards<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Psychosocial hazards.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/h3>\n

Depth and Breadth of Knowledge: Requires solid experience implementing the social performance principles, stakeholder engagement methodologies, resettlement best practices (aligned with IFC, World Bank, AfDB, and other international standards), social impact assessment and mitigation, community development strategies, project-induced in-migration management, and relevant Mozambican regulations. Possesses a deep understanding of the complexities of operating in diverse cultural and socio-political environments of extractive industry sector of at least 10 years.<\/p>\n

Practical\/Technical Skills: Demonstrates strong skills in developing and implementing tactical plans, managing stakeholder relationships, facilitating communication and consultation, overseeing resettlement activities (data management, compensation, relocation), and managing budgets for social investment programs.<\/p>\n

Leadership and Management Skills: Requires skills in leading and mentoring a team, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective team communication and coordination.<\/p>\n
