Finance Director (M\/F)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>FINANCE DIRECTOR (M\/F) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MAPUTO, MOZAMBIQUE<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>JOB OPPORTUNITY\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>FINANCE DIRECTOR (M\/F)\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>MozParks Holding<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the developer and operator of industrial parks and free trade zones in\u00a0 Mozambique, is hiring a <\/span><b>Finance Director (M\/F) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to join its growing team.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>THE DUTIES OF THE MOZPARKS FINANCE DIRECTOR ARE:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Establish and maintain all financial and accounting mechanisms necessary for the proper\u00a0 functioning of the Group (updating Financial Management manuals, records, internal control, archives, etc.), as well as any other related work typical of a financial manager,\u00a0 such as economic feasibility studies, negotiations with financial institutions, and others.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ensure liaison and coordination with international development finance institutions (DFIs)\u00a0 and local financing institutions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ensure the preparation of the Group&#8217;s annual Plan and budget in collaboration with other\u00a0 sectors of the company and submit it for approval by the Board of Directors.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ensure the preparation of the Financial Report, including financial statements in compliance with the General Accounting Plan (PGC) in force in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Lead the preparation of investment memoranda and build robust financial models to support strategic decision-making.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ensure the preparation and signing of accounting processes as an accountant for the\u00a0 group companies, as well as coordination with the relevant authorities within the deadlines\u00a0 established by the Corporate Income Tax (IRPC) Code and other applicable legislation,\u00a0 namely:\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u25e6 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Income Tax Return (M22) by May 31st of the year immediately following the one to\u00a0 which the income relates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u25e6 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accounting and Tax Information Return (M20) with the respective relevant annexes, by\u00a0 June 30th of the year following the end of the tax year, which coincides with the calendar year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ensure the preparation of quarterly and annual management control reports for the group\u00a0 to provide periodic information on the company&#8217;s economic and financial situation compared to the respective budget and submit to the board of directors by the 20th of the\u00a0 month following the quarter in question.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Monitor the technical information systems and recording of the Group&#8217;s financial flows; track and ensure proper collection of documents and efficiently maintain their filing and classification.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Define and maintain internal control systems and ensure the contracting and monitoring of\u00a0 external audits.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Support the necessary &#8220;on-the-job&#8221; training around financial management and accounting\u00a0 for the Group.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Advise the Chairman of the Group&#8217;s Board of Directors on all aspects relating to financial and\u00a0 tax control, as well as for financial decision-making regarding investments or current operations.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ensure the correct assessment and payment of taxes within the limits established by Law,\u00a0 namely:\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u25e6 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contributions to the social security system, by the 10th of each month. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u25e6 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Personal Income Tax (IRPS), by the 20th of each month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u25e6 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Final Corporate Income Tax (IRPC) and Payment on Account by May 31st of each year. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u25e6 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Special Payment on Account (IRPC) by June 30th of each year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u25e6 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Value Added Tax (VAT), by the last business day of each month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u25e6 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Municipal Personal Tax in March of each year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u25e6 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Municipal Property Tax;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Monitor the collection of debts from customers and ensure the payment of debts to third parties, ensuring short- and long-term financial balance.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Update Standard Operating Procedures whenever necessary and ensure compliance.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Represent the companies in institutions relevant to the financial sector, namely banks, tax authorities, funding partners, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>www.mozparks.co.mz\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>JOB OPPORTUNITY\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>FINANCE DIRECTOR (M\/F)\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>REQUIREMENTS\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Higher education degree in Accounting and Auditing, Business Management, Financial Management, or related fields.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Registration with OCAM (Order of Accountants and Auditors of Mozambique) is an advantage\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Proficiency in computer skills from a user perspective (MS Office), with emphasis on Advanced Excel.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Solid experience in financial modeling and the structuring of dossiers for investment fundraising.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Experience in using management software packages \u2013 Primavera is an advantage.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Experience in team management.
