\nSite Cost Controller<\/p>\n
POSITION TITLE: Site Cost Controller
\nREPORTS TO: Finance Manager
\nPLACE OF WORK: Palma, Pemba<\/p>\n
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/p>\n
Reporting & Reconciliations
\n\u2022 Review and analyse diesel consumption reports to ensure accuracy and cost control.
\n\u2022 Review transportation reports and investigate variances.
\n\u2022 Prepare and submit monthly reconciliations between:
\no Weighbridge reports
\no Quarry sales reports
\no Material delivery reports
\n\u2022 Identify discrepancies and resolve variances in collaboration with operations and finance teams.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Production & Tax Reporting
\n\u2022 Prepare and submit the monthly production tax calculation in line with regulatory requirements.
\n\u2022 Compile and submit the monthly cost of production, based on actual operational data.
\n\u2022 Ensure all production-related reporting is accurate and submitted within deadlines.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Procurement & Cost Control
\n\u2022 Review and approve Purchase Orders (POs) in Sage X3, ensuring:
\no All supporting documentation is complete and accurate
\no Goods\/services procured are necessary and cost-efficient
\no Procurement aligns with approved budgets
\n\u2022 Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and cost control procedures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
\n\u2022 Perform monthly budget analysis (Actual vs Budget) and provide variance explanations.
\n\u2022 Support operations teams in cost management and expenditure control.
\n\u2022 Prepare and submit the annual site\/operations budget for all site-related costs.
\n\u2022 Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
\n\u2022 Perform month-end stock valuation in accordance with company policies.
\n\u2022 Monitor stock movements and investigate material variances.
\n\u2022 Ensure accurate recording of inventory for financial reporting purposes.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATION \/ EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualification:
\n\u2022 Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or Cost & Management Accounting.<\/p>\n
Experience:
\n\u2022 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in cost control, budgeting, stock valuation, and financial reporting.
\n\u2022 Experience in mining, quarry, manufacturing, or construction environments is advantageous.
\n\u2022 ERP system experience (e.g., Sage X3 or similar).<\/p>\n
Key Skills:
\n\u2022 Strong Excel skills.
\n\u2022 Budget vs Actual analysis and reconciliations.
\n\u2022 Understanding of inventory valuation methods.
\n\u2022 Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.<\/p>\n
Language Requirement:
\n\u2022 Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) is highly advantageous.<\/p>\n
