Job Purpose:<\/p>\n

Manage the relationship between Visa and varied business partners \u00a0including banks, fintechs, regulators with a focus on business growth and partner satisfaction.<\/p>\n

Participate in managing the setting, direction and implementation of country & business strategies, objectives and plans within designated partners in order to achieve business targets through growing the existing business and through identifying new business opportunities including the introduction and implementation of new products and services.<\/p>\n

Principal Accountabilities:<\/p>\n

Strategic Planning<\/p>\n

Manage the development of strategic plans for designated Countries and Clients by integrating and setting priorities based on information about the markets, partner business plans, Visa priorities and competitor activities.\u00a0 Ensure the plans are shared, understood and bought into by specialist divisions within Visa.<\/p>\n

Contribute to the development of the Sub Saharan Africa strategy.<\/p>\n

Ensure the development of individual designated partners operational plans, with corresponding tactics and actions to achieve defined goals.<\/p>\n

Monitor the development of the banking and financial services industry across the region, analyse trends and understand factors impacting current and potential business results of Visa.\u00a0 Monitor, analyse and develop\/respond to competitors strategies.<\/p>\n

Ensure that the necessary market plans are in place in good time and have sufficient justification for the required spend.<\/p>\n

Business Development and Relationship Management<\/p>\n

Establish, develop and manage the relationship between Visa and our partners.<\/p>\n

Develop most valued Partner (MVP) plan for clients and achieve business objectives of Visa and clients through planned and well executed initiatives.<\/p>\n

Develop sales strategies and financial models in order to manage sales process and achieve volume and sales revenue targets<\/p>\n

Establish, develop and manage relationship between Visa and industry representatives in-country such as Central Banks, Governments, Bankers Association and Media.<\/p>\n

Establish, develop and manage relationships in-country with Vendors, Processors and Domestic Switches<\/p>\n

Identify new business development opportunities and take accountability for and manage the project evaluation of these.\u00a0 Focus on achieving business targets through growing existing business and developing new business opportunities.\u00a0 Monitor business results of designated Member bank(s) and anticipate challenges and take proactive measures\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 to accomplish targets.\u00a0 Ensure effective communication of progress to targets both within Visa and with Member bank(s).<\/p>\n

Develop, maintain and cultivate close relationships with decision-makers and senior management of designated Member banks, partner companies, Central banks and national\u00a0\u00a0 banking associations.\u00a0 Understand their business strategies, priorities, needs and business processes, present to them strategic ideas and share Visa\u2019s views on industry developments and dynamics and advise them how Visa products can impact their results.<\/p>\n

Represent Visa to the Members by providing a point of contact to them, with permanent high quality support on the Visa organisation, products, systems and policies.<\/p>\n

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Qualifications<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
\n

Basic Qualifications
\n10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters\/ MBA\/JD\/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD<\/p>\n

Preferred Qualifications
\n10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree or 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
\nFluent written and spoken Portuguese is a requirement for this role
\nMinimum 6 years experience in the Banking and or Financial Services\/payments\/mobile network and or Fintech sector.
\nCard payment experience essential.
\nTertiary qualification with a business or marketing degree (preferably MBA)
\nCapability to liaise, present to and work with senior level international bankers.
\nExcellent knowledge of Visa, other payment systems, card products and the activities of different payment systems in the relevant markets.
\nCommercial orientation, interpersonally credible, influential in their dealings and sensitive to a multicultural environment.
\nAbility to manage varied indirect reporting relationships at all levels of the Visa and member organisation.
\nExperience in influencing developing and\/or motivating people to achieving company and customer objectives.
\nSales Experience, Creative and design thinking\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n
