Our client, a global leading provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful HSE Advisor Landfall and HSE Supervisor to be based in Afungi.<\/p>\n

JOB DIMENSIONS<\/h3>\n

The HSE Superintendent reports to the Afungi HSE Superintendent Manager and is responsible for the oversight and assurance of the HSE activities related to the onshore & nearshore activities. There is a functional reporting line to the Upstream HSE Manager.<\/p>\n

The scope of the infrastructure to be engineered, procured, fabricated and installed under the contract can be summarized as; export pipelines (gas, 22in rigid pipelines), Service line (MEG, 8in and 6in rigid pipelines), rigid jumpers, flexible jumpers, manifolds (and piles), umbilicals, PLETs \/ ILTs structures (and foundations), sleepers, mattresses, flying leads and flexible pipe jumpers.<\/p>\n

The HSE Superintendent shall:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Have a commitment to achieve zero harm, providing support and advice to Company and Contractor on issues, whilst working with stakeholders to implement strategies that lead to improvements in HSE performance at EPCI fabrication facilities.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Provide necessary support and assistance to the Afungi HSE Superintendent, Company project personnel & Contractor personnel to ensure all Project HSE Systems, processes and procedures are adhered to in delivering project HSE goals.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Advise and support Project Delivery Team(s) in assuring Contractor delivery of the HSE Plan and ensure clear and concise reporting to stakeholders.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Support HSE related engagement with Contractors, influencing behaviours and promoting an incident free mind-set.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Monitor and oversee the HSE aspects of works that are being carried out onshore & nearshore in Afungi.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Acquire basic HSE awareness by knowing the One-MAESTRO framework, the company HSE & biodiversity policies, and the Golden Rules.<\/p>\n

ACTIVITIES<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Monitor Contractor and Subcontractors activities and performance, providing support, advice and guidance required to maintain safe and efficient operations, in line with the Upstream HSE Plan, contractors HSE Plan and HSEMS and contractual obligations.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Represent Company and advise Contractor on HSE-related topics during weekly construction meetings.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Contribute to safety studies, audits, and reviews, including MoC as required by Project Delivery Manager.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Participate in review of Contractors safe systems of work, including hazard ID, PTW, Risk Assessment & management techniques & TBT\u2019s.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Support Contractor in incident investigation and ensure robustness of the entire process.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure Contractors record and report accurate HSE statistics, and act as focal point for timely and quality HSE reporting to the Project.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Support HSE Initiatives and Programs and ensure effective ownership by Contractor to achieve desired results.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Support HSE assurance activity, ensure audit reports, progress reports and HSE performance reports are circulated to the appropriate stakeholders.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure that major risks arising from construction activities are mitigated by robust control measures, in activities such as transportation safety (><\/p>\n

400 movements) and heavy lifting with floating cranes (2000T capacity).<\/p>\n

ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Support the management of HSE scope delivery and team during the project execution phase.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Safe and on time delivery of the HSE scope of work within the onshore & nearshore locations at Afungi.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure compliance with Company HSE requirements within all work activities.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

QUALIFICATION\/EXPERIENCED REQUIRED<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Minimum 10 years within the Oil & Gas industry and related HSE experience. With a recognized HSE qualification – NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ability to lead & coordinate HSE Investigations to establish actual Root Causes, preparing & rolling out learnings and conducting detailed HSE Audits.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Strong interpersonal skills with capability to train, coach, mentor, support and successfully influence at various levels (including contractors).<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ability to develop effective working relationships with contractors and contractor personnel and progress collaborative problem solving.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Fluency in the English language<\/p>\n
