The onshore scope includes two LNG trains (13 mtpa total capacity), LNG and condensate storage, marine facilities, power generation systems, utilities, and early site infrastructure.<br \/>\nThe Afungi site is a large-scale, multinational joint venture environment with a peak workforce of up to 15,000 personnel. The project is financed by high-profile international lenders and operates within a complex social and environmental framework.<\/p>\n<p>This is a rotational site-based position located in a remote area of Northern Mozambique.<br \/>\nThe Role Reporting to the OSBL Area 3 Manager (Utilities, Pipeline, MEG), the OSBL Area 3 Field Superintendent will support oversight and monitoring of the EPC Contractor across Utilities, Pipeline Corridor, and associated OSBL infrastructure.<br \/>\nYou will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of construction activities through to pre-commissioning and handover to Operations, ensuring compliance with project schedule, cost, and quality requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead by example in fostering a strong HSE culture across Client and EPC Contractor teams<\/li>\n<li>Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety &amp; Environmental requirements<\/li>\n<li>Monitor construction activities from execution through system handover to Commissioning<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a visible site presence, ensuring oversight of contractor and subcontractor performance<\/li>\n<li>Review and challenge EPC Contractor construction progress and identify schedule risks<\/li>\n<li>Propose mitigation strategies and technical\/organizational improvements<\/li>\n<li>Oversee SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) and transition into commissioning phases<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate closely with QA\/QC teams to ensure works meet required standards<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper documentation, as-built records, and structured handover to Operations<\/li>\n<li>Participate in site emergency drills and incident investigations<\/li>\n<li>Promote collaboration, team spirit, and continuous improvement within the team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Safe delivery of designated OSBL facilities during the Construction phase<\/li>\n<li>Coordination with all relevant departments to deliver a fit-for-purpose facility<\/li>\n<li>On-time and on-budget execution aligned with approved project schedules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education &amp; Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline (advanced degree\/professional qualification preferred)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 15 years\u2019 industry experience<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years in a Superintendent or equivalent leadership role<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 10 years on greenfield projects<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in LNG (preferred), petrochemical, refinery, gas processing, or pipeline projects<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience managing SIMOPS and commissioning transitions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Knowledge<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, NFPA)<\/li>\n<li>Deep understanding of safety management, environmental compliance, scheduling, QA\/QC, and risk mitigation<\/li>\n<li>Experience with documentation control and structured handover processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership &amp; Communication<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong safety leadership and ability to influence contractor performance<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese or French is an advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a multicultural and high-pressure project environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Aooly for this job:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aptrack.co\/uap\/AAAGPwAPoPoB8pLn\/\">https:\/\/www.aptrack.co\/uap\/AAAGPwAPoPoB8pLn\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OSBL Area 3 Field Superintendent \u2013 Utilities &amp; Pipeline Corridor Location:\u00a0Afungi Site, Northern Mozambique Rotation: 28\/28 Project:\u00a0TotalEnergies \u2013 Mozambique LNG Division:\u00a0E&amp;P \u2013 LNG Onshore About the Project Mozambique LNG is a world-class LNG development with an overall investment of approximately $18 billion.
