Our client, a global leading provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Government Services Operations Coordinator to be based in Maputo.<\/p>\n

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT<\/h3>\n

Position in based in Maputo, Mozambique with Frequent travel to project sites – commute to Ressano Garcia, Nacala, Pemba or Afungi as required.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The length of business stays at site or other project locations will be driven by the extent and duration of required engagement and coordination work with government departments and\/or other project\/construction functions based in the country.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0For regular rotation schedules, specific details will be discussed and agreed with the selected candidate based on project requirements<\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Oversee the installation and operational setup of Dedicated Offices.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely assistance and maintenance services.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Supervise contractors and service providers during the go-live phase.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Manage project resources to meet deliverables and MOU criteria.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Interface with government departments to support Immigration & Work Quota, Permitting and Customs functions.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure logistical readiness and operational efficiency across all designated locations.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Maintain personnel rotation schedules and government engagement registers.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Guarantee compliance with corporate governance standards, conflict of interest prevention, and anti-corruption regulations.<\/p>\n

Accountabilities<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Position is accountable for planning, coordination, and supervision of infrastructure deployment and operational readiness for Dedicated Offices provided under the PSP capacity-building program. This includes ensuring timely installation, commissioning, and full functionality of Dedicated Offices across multiple project sites, in strict compliance with contractual commitments and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) established with the Government.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of Dedicated Office installations, ensuring readiness and adherence to agreed timelines and standards. Collaborate with engineering, logistics, construction contractors, and third-party service providers. Act as the primary liaison between internal departments (Finance, Procurement, Compliance, Travel, Transport, and Site Logistics) to guarantee seamless integration of government services into project operations. Facilitate incorporation of critical services such as Immigration and Work Quota, Permitting, and Customs into project workflows.<\/p>\n

Run day-to-day operations, stakeholder coordination, and provide logistical oversight to maintain uninterrupted service delivery, regulatory compliance, and alignment with project execution standards.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS\/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree (or equivalent) in Business Management, Finance, Logistics, or another relevant field.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Mining, or large-scale infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Proven experience in supervising service contracts and managing contractors.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Strong background in office administration and project coordination.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Hands-on experience in multinational project environments.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Familiarity with EPC, subcontractor, and government relations.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant business systems.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ability to work independently, anticipate constraints, and report effectively.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Fluent in English and Portuguese (oral and written).<\/p>\n
