The ideal candidate is a strategic, analytical and highly driven professional capable of elevating local supplier capacity, coordinating stakeholders, driving performance, and ensuring compliance with Local Content requirements.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\nCoordinate supplier development programs, capacity-building initiatives and readiness activities.<br \/>\nEvaluate supplier capability, performance gaps, risks, and opportunities for development.<br \/>\nLead data collection, dashboards, and reporting for supplier-related Local Content metrics.<br \/>\nDevelop presentations, briefs, materials, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.<br \/>\nEnsure alignment of supplier development activities with procurement, contracts and project execution plans.<br \/>\nFacilitate engagement with local suppliers, government entities, and contractors.<br \/>\nOrganize supplier events, workshops and meetings to improve supplier readiness and compliance.<br \/>\nMonitor contractor Local Content plans and performance requirements.<br \/>\nSupport government reporting, audits, inspections and Local Content submissions.<br \/>\nMaintain databases and records of supplier performance, Local Content indicators, and development initiatives.<br \/>\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of Supplier Development and Local Content priorities.<br \/>\nProvide strategic insights to leadership regarding supplier capability, risks and progress.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements<br \/>\nUniversity degree in Economics, Law, Business, Development Studies, Social Sciences or related field.<br \/>\nMinimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Development, Local Content, Procurement, Contractor Management or related areas.<br \/>\nExperience in the Oil &amp; Gas, Energy, Construction or Mining sectors preferred.<br \/>\nStrong understanding of Mozambique\u2019s Local Content legislation and supplier landscape.<br \/>\nProven experience leading supplier capacity-building initiatives or development programs.<br \/>\nStrong analytical, reporting and presentation skills.<br \/>\nExcellent communication skills in English and Portuguese (written and verbal).<br \/>\nAbility to work with multiple stakeholders (government, suppliers, contractors, internal teams).<br \/>\nHigh level of organization, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.<br \/>\nWillingness to travel regularly to project sites (Pemba, Palma, Afungi).<\/p>\n<p>What We Are Looking For<br \/>\nA proactive and strategically minded professional<br \/>\nSomeone who can manage multiple priorities under pressure<br \/>\nA confident communicator who can lead meetings, drive actions and influence stakeholders<br \/>\nA candidate with strong business acumen and understanding of supplier capability challenges<br \/>\nSomeone committed to improving local supplier participation and ensuring program success<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supplier Development Advisor Application deadline: 05 December 2025 Submit CVs in English to: Shelcia.cuamba@heading.co.mz We are seeking a Supplier Development Advisor to support the implementation of Local Content and supplier development initiatives for a major Oil &amp; Gas project in Mozambique.
