The role also involves developing and strengthening internal control systems to ensure robust financial stewardship.<\/p>\n<p><b>Key Responsibilities <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare budgets and financial forecasts.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with financial reporting standards and internal procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide regular financial reports to management.<\/li>\n<li>Record daily accounting transactions in the books of accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper documentation and authorization of vouchers according to the authorization matrix.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare cashbooks and bank reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor cash flow and ensure effective working capital management.<\/li>\n<li>Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns in compliance with local regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly review internal controls and monitor their effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with other departments on cost-saving initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Provide necessary information during internal and external audits.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and update the fixed asset register and initiate asset disposal when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly flash reports and periodic financial statements.<\/li>\n<li>Review the monthly payroll process.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with relevant regulatory and statutory bodies.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties assigned by Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Education and Professional Qualifications <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.<\/li>\n<li>CPA or ACCA certification is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Work Experience <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial or accounting role.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a security company is an added advantage (if applicable to your context).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer applications (Excel, accounting software).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of accuracy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What We Offer <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary aligned with experience.<\/li>\n<li>Health insurance.<\/li>\n<li>Professional growth and development opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Supportive and collaborative work environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>How to Apply <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates should submit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Updated CV<\/li>\n<li>Cover Letter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>to the following e-mail: <a href=\"mailto:bmacamo@macefieldventures.com\">bmacamo@macefieldventures.com<\/a> Subject Line: <i>Application \u2013 Accountant <\/i><\/p>\n<p>Deadline for submission: 08 December 2025<\/p>\n<p>Start Date: 05 January 2026<\/p>\n<p>Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.<\/p>\n<p><b>Equal Opportunity Statement <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Macefield Ventures Mo\u00e7ambique is an equal opportunity employer.
