We work with an impact-oriented approach, collaborating with local and international partners to respond to humanitarian emergencies and promote sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our Mozambique team as <strong>Team Leader<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main objective of the Team Leader:<\/strong> management of a FFH\/WB project for the integrated census of socio-economic, land and housing conditions of the families in 4 cities of Mozambique.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting<\/strong> <strong>Date:<\/strong> 17\/11\/2025<\/p>\n<p><strong>Period:<\/strong> 2 months (renewable)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Language:<\/strong> English<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting to:<\/strong> Program Director (1st supervisor) and Country Representative (2nd supervisor)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main tasks and responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Management and coordination of project activities<\/li>\n<li>Together with the project team, planning and development of activities necessary for the census<\/li>\n<li>Support in the supervision and verification of administrative and procurement procedures<\/li>\n<li>Coordination of activities with respect to the schedule defined by the chronogram<\/li>\n<li>Drafting, revision and updating of technical documents such as: ToR, Financing Proposals, General Operational Plans etc.<\/li>\n<li>Development of relations with local partners and stakeholders involved in the project (institutions, donors, community)<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of expected deliverables, and narrative and accounting reports of the project to the donor and competent authorities<\/li>\n<li>Support for verifying the correctness of the administrative reporting of project expenses<\/li>\n<li>Coordination of monitoring activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree in economics, or local development, or sociology, or related fields<\/li>\n<li>Technician with minimum of 10 years of experience undertaking household surveys and\/or population census in low-income countries<\/li>\n<li>5 years (or over 5 projects) experiences leading project management of censuses or surveys<\/li>\n<li>Proven management experience in land cadaster activities in urban areas will be considered an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other required skills and experiences:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good knowledge of Minimum Humanitarian Standards (SPHERE) and Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS)<\/li>\n<li>Proficient knowledge of the main Office IT tools, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook<\/li>\n<li>Strong capacities of financial management and planning<\/li>\n<li>Leadership and training skills<\/li>\n<li>Corporate managing and organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Capacities of managing of external audits<\/li>\n<li>Previous work experience in the international cooperation sector in Africa or Mozambique and\/or knowledge of Portuguese language is an added value<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>***References required for the last 5 years of work***<\/p>\n<p>Apply for this job: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avsi.org\/en\/work-with-us\/jobs\/5525-TL-MOZ\">https:\/\/www.avsi.org\/en\/work-with-us\/jobs\/5525-TL-MOZ<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AVSI is an international NGO operating in 41 countries, committed to addressing global challenges through international cooperation projects.
