Our client, a global leading provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Structure\/Civil Supervisor to be based in Afungi.<\/p>\n

ACTIVITIES<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Work with environmental and\/or socioeconomic and\/or health consultants and the Project Team (PT), as necessary, to oversee the preparation of the EIA and ESHIA and EMPs.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Inspire safety commitment in Client and all Contractors and Subcontractors teams via deep knowledge of HSE and leadership by example.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE requirements across works to promote a healthy and safe work environment.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The Supervisor shall ensure that construction activities are performed as per project requirements and specifications, in terms of construction methods, safety, quality and schedule.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The Construction Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the site works are properly managed and executed by the Contractor and their approved Subcontractors in accordance with the Contract Agreement.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Assist to gather and validates \u2018lessons learnt\u2019 from all project team and provides feedback<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Prepare, coordinate and monitor construction activities, as per project requirements and construction procedures, up to sub-system handover to Commissioning team, by maintaining close relationship with the EPC Contractor.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure strong physical presence at Site to demonstrate safety commitment, technical oversight and immediate reporting to his management for all technical or coordination issues or potential risks, as well as any HSE incident.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Responsible for verification of progress reporting of construction activities per discipline.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Participate to all quality surveillance programs and inspect the works per discipline as directed in the approved ITPs.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Support the development of execution plans, method statements, and other relevant procedures to ensure that work plans and scopes are aligned with project strategies and deliver a safe, qualitative and timely execution of the project.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Support the Superintendent per discipline, by providing inputs and coordination, in the resolution of technical issues .<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Participate to all necessary construction planning meetings to ensure a smooth resolution of all technical issues, prior any impact to schedule or cost, as well by anticipating such issues as required<\/p>\n

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Project entity is a multinational joint venture, has a large social performance element and is project financed by high profile lenders<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Afungi Site is extremely remote in Northern Mozambique with unreliable infrastructure and communications.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The site is subject to mitigation measures based on Malaria and general security risks.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Rotational position<\/p>\n

ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensuring EPC, EPCI and Drilling Contractors compliance with Project Requirements.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Coordination of interface with Area 4 in areas of joint interest.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Completion of environmental studies and\/or assessments aimed at ensuring Project activities meet applicable requirements.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATION\/EXPERIENCED REQUIRED<\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Education: A degree\/diploma qualification or equivalent in related discipline field and\/or Oil & Gas construction projects.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in Civil and Structural in industrial plants, with good knowledge of relevant specifications, and technical codes and standards.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Solid knowledge of Project execution best practices, gained during former experience on projects of similar size,<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Analytical, rigorous, aimed at results, with the ability to adapt to changing constraints,<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Good interpersonal communications in an international environment,<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Understanding of areas critical to the success of large complex projects: safety, environmental, work organization, cost, schedule, quality, organizational competency, and reputational risk.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Strong HSE culture and safety leadership, effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence critical decisions.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Strong English written and verbal communication skills required. Portuguese or French is advantageous.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
