Our client, a global leading provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful HSE Supervisor ISBL to be based in Afungi.<\/p>\n

JOB DIMENSION<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Report to HSE Head ISBL and manage HSE officers (from a pool of HSE officers)<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Work with HSE team to cover all contractors areas HSE team involved in ISBL scope<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Spends most of his time in the field (expectation 80%) in order to have a full understanding of HSE risks and control measures being implemented)<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Interfaces with site supervisor and HSE reps as well as building a relationship with contractors personnel.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Spend some time in the office on administrative work and\/or training as required.<\/p>\n

ACTIVITIES<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Always lead by example and promote Golden Rules and STOP Card Stop Work Authority<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Undertake an ambassador’s role towards STOP Card Stop Work Authority Program ensuring that the relevant contractor deals with all unsafe acts and unsafe conditions – always Intervene when you observe an unsafe act or condition<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure all unsafe acts and conditions are recorded on the observation system (on the day of the event) along with immediate actions taken and any further actions required to prevent recurrence<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Attend Contractor morning toolbox talks weekly, where possible be actively engaged in the talk.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Notify the HSE Head and or HSE Manager of any incident you are informed of or witness as soon as practicable<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0On request attend the weekly joined safety tour<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Undertake governance and assurance inspections and record findings on designated checklists<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Provide with on-site assurance against all contractor activities<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Review JSA\/Risk Assessments in the field to ensure contractors are working to their agreed processes and systems<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure Contractor daily plant and equipment checks are undertaken and recorded<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Participate in level 3 HSE audits<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Where required participate in document reviews to include risk assessment, method statement, traffic management plans, etc.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Where required participate in incident investigations<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Assist in the preparation of toolbox talks and other HSE communication material as required<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Organize all documents that you generate as part of your day-to-day work; these include but not limited to photographs taken during site visits, daily activity logs, etc. Note that these documents are Company property and must be properly stored in the relevant folder on the SharePoint<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure that all mandatory training (LIZZY) is undertaken in line with agreed timescales<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Respect the IVMS rules and ensure that JMP’s are prepared for all journeys<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0vehicles used to commute to and from work locations must have a daily prestart check recorded and all waste materials must be removed at the end of the shift<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Return keys to vehicles back to the control room after use<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure clear and concise written handovers are provided for all Back to Backs<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Actively participate in contractor meetings\/forums where required<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Actively participate in the HSE Rep Development program<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Actively attend the morning HSE meeting: give high level overview of good and bad practices observed and overview of daily activities<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure that if work needs to be suspended due to an HSE issue, immediate notification must be made to the relevant HSE Head and\/or HSE Manager<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Always give feedback to contractor’s supervisor on both positive and negative observations before leaving the work area<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Respect project-working hours and designated break times \u2014 12 hour working day (typically 6am to 6pm) with 1 hour for lunch (typically between 11am \u2014 1pm)<\/p>\n

Context and environment\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0ROTATION ONSHORE 28 X 28<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Fit and active both physically and mentally to be able to work 12-hour days over a 28 period.<\/p>\n

Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure implementation of HSE policy on LNG project.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Implementation and awareness of HSE procedures and ensure quality of work and clearance of recommendations<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Control and record of HSE implementation to ensure safe performance in all contractors.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS\/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Degree, diploma or vocational training in engineering, construction or HSE<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Minimum of 3 years of experience<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Experience in LNG, oil & gas, mining, petrochemical, chemical or process industry preferred<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Experience of large construction sites with onshore and nearshore facilities<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Understanding of H&S and Environmental management systems and operational requirements for a large and diverse construction site<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Team member with leadership and communication skills<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ability to communicate effectively and stay informed on important issues and progress to remain current and a vital resource to the project<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Computer literate on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS365 and Internet required.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Must be fluent (Oral and Written) in Mozambican \/ Portuguese (Native) and English<\/p>\n
