Job Purpose
\nOwn and optimize end-to-end materials planning, purchasing, and inventory control to ensure the right stock is available at the right time and cost. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and clear communication with suppliers, logistics partners, finance, and internal stakeholders.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\n\u2705 Run demand planning cycles using ERP (e.g., SAP) and Excel\u2014update forecasts and maintain item master data.
\n\u2705 Generate and release purchase orders based on approved forecasts, safety stock, and reorder parameters; align with budget and working-capital targets.
\n\u2705 Track all open POs to ensure on-time delivery (OTD); expedite, defer, or cancel as needed to meet service levels while minimizing excess stock.
\n\u2705 Prepare weekly\/monthly inventory and procurement dashboards\u2014stock levels, days of supply (DOS), ageing\/slow-movers, stockout risk, and supplier OTIF performance.
\n\u2705 Liaise directly with suppliers for delivery commitments, lead-time reductions, and quality\/commercial escalations, drive corrective actions on late or non-conforming deliveries.
\n\u2705 Coordinate with Logistics and Finance for inbound shipments, customs documentation, GRV, invoice queries, and landed-cost capture, ensuring accurate ETAs and audit-ready compliance.
\n\u2705 Execute cycle counts and full stock counts; investigate variances and implement corrective actions to sustain inventory accuracy targets.
\n\u2705 Identify and deliver cost\u2011saving opportunities (price, terms, logistics, packaging optimization) without compromising quality or service.
\n\u2705 Maintain procurement ethics and HSSE standards; ensure safe material handling and adherence to company and legal requirements.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Competencies
\n\u2705 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in materials planning \/ inventory control \/ procurement, and\/or a bachelor\u2019s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
\n\u2705 Hands\u2011on ERP experience (SAP MM preferred; Oracle \/ Dynamics acceptable) and strong Excel (PivotTables, lookup\/index\u2011match, basic forecasting).
\n\u2705 Fluent in English (read, write, speak); Portuguese proficiency is a strong advantage.
\n\u2705 Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and problem\u2011solving ability.
\n\u2705 Clear communicator with suppliers and cross\u2011functional teams; able to escalate and negotiate effectively.
\n\u2705 Practical understanding of import documentation, Incoterms, and basic customs processes.
\n\u2705 Ability to work on\u2011site in Beira with occasional travel.<\/p>\n
Hours of Work
\n\u2022 07:30 \u2013 17:00, Monday to Friday.
\n\u2022 08:00 \u2013 12:00, Saturday.<\/p>\n
