Heading is recruiting for its client, an oil and gas company, a\u00a0Terrestrial Biodiversity Analyst<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(<\/strong><\/b>M\/F) to be based in\u00a0Maputo<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

– Supporting management, set-up and fine tuning of biodiversity action plan that includes the offset program.<\/p>\n

– Maintaining schedules and track deliverables related to Biodiversity management, particularly the offset program.<\/p>\n

– Assisting with planning and mobilization of biodiversity related surveys and actions.<\/p>\n

– Supporting development, review and implementation of Biodiversity Management Plans and Procedures.<\/p>\n

– Developing accurate and timely information for regular update of Project Website on Biodiversity matters.<\/p>\n

– Keeping abreast of technical information, ideas and legislation in relation to biodiversity and natural environmental management.<\/p>\n

– Promote Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Policy and actions Participates in development and implementation of Government of Mozambique, Lenders\u2019 and Company compliant Biodiversity related documents.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/b>– Minimum graduate or post-graduate degree in Agronomy, Natural Sciences, Ecology, Biology, Biodiversity or any related subjects. Specialist of Agronomy and\/or Wetland ecosystems<\/p>\n

– Minimum of 2 years\u2019 relevant experience required<\/p>\n

– Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to work demands<\/p>\n

– Ability to work in fast paced environments with autonomy<\/p>\n

– Ability to communicate with stakeholders<\/p>\n

– Ability to develop a network with stakeholders<\/p>\n

– Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations and with cross-discipline professionals (construction project).<\/p>\n

– Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory. Proficient working knowledge of French is a benefit<\/p>\n
