We are hiring for a leading client, a CUSTOMER AGRONOMIST, to be based in Gondola, Manica Province.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
\n– Deliver the mission for the region together with the customer facing squad;
\n-Jointly manage and contribute to the regional P&L with customer-facing team;
\n– Ensure that the regional 90-day sales goals including budget are achieved;
\n– Support to identify most strategic farmer groups, coops and retailers in the squad’s territory;
\n– Co-develop annual regional sales and campaigns plans for the region with the team;
\n– Establish demand generation trials and events on the ground aligned with regional plans;
\n– Conduct trainings and support Demo Attendants, VBAs lead farmers and partners;
\n– Plan and execute show and tell Demos, Side by Side and demos and community demos;
\n– Planning and execution of field days, farmer days and Agri show demos in territory;
\n– Provide agronomist support directly to farmers, farmers groups and retail channel;
\n– Handle basic customer complaints and escalate complex issues to Crop System Agronomist;
\n– Coordinate seasonal demand creation workforce and partners;
\n– Identify business opportunities and develop strategies to capture them;
\n– Identify volume and market share gaps\/tends and feed into regional strategy;
\n– Keep track of competitors activities and market changes and feed back to supporting Units.<\/p>\n

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
\n– Degree in Agriculture, preferably in seed or crop protection
\n– Relevant experience in crop agronomy, seeds and pest control practices
\n– Solid technical knowledge of varied agricultural practices and agronomic practices and understanding of local market environment.
\n– Demonstrate Company core competencies: Customer Focus, Drives Results, Values Differences, Manages Complexity, Collaboration.
\n– Ability to collaborate\/communicate with and develop internal and external partnerships.
\n– Ability to work well in smallholder farmer markets.
\n– Highly motivated, creative, dynamic, and well organized.
\n– Proficiency in English and Mozambique Central Region local languages essential to facilitate communication at the official and ground levels
\n– Valid driving license \u2013 Class G (Motorcycle) or higher<\/p>\n

EMPLOYMENT TYPE
