Mozal, SA is a benchmark for mega-projects in developing countries; located in Maputo Province, Mozal produces high-quality, primary aluminium for the domestic and export markets.<\/p>\n

WHAT MOZAL OFFERS:<\/p>\n

Annual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the business;<\/p>\n

South32 will support assistance for part-time studies aligned to role requirements and business needs at accredited institutions to eligible employees.<\/p>\n

ABOUT THE ROLE:<\/p>\n

This role is a permanent full-time position.<\/p>\n

This role is designed to assist the operation with all improvement, projects, functional improvement and data reporting processes and activities..<\/p>\n

Other key responsibilities include, but aren\u2019t limited to:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Regular Improvement reviews with departments and updating of actions.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Organize facilitation sessions to achieve improvement outcomes;<\/div>\n
\u2022 Facilitate, assess, and prioritize the idea generation process.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Execute projects through problem solving and improvement methodologies.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Skills in Six Sigma and Lean will be required for problem solving and improvement projects.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Data analysis and benefits validation of projects at Mozal, update and governance of the Kainexus or similar improvement system for Mozal.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Understanding and implementation of the South32 Operating System (OS).<\/div>\n
\u2022 Deliver Business Planning and Alignment process.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Governance and oversight of performance reports including monthly\/weekly COO reporting.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Participation in technical reviews as and when required.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Reporting of productivity indicators within the organization including the management systems that underpin the productivity measurements.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Modelling and defining the value stream mapping process.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Facilitation of ICTC (In Control Then Capable) projects in the organization.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Roll out ASI actions and surveillance audit preparation.<\/div>\n
\u2022 5S implementation and governance of process.<\/div>\n

ABOUT YOU:<\/p>\n

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:<\/p>\n

\u2022 At least 5 years\u2019 experience in related areas;<\/div>\n
\u2022 Minimum experience of 5 years in related areas;<\/div>\n
\u2022 Show oral\/written proficiency in the English language.<\/div>\n

Qualifications for this role are:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelors Degree in Technical or non-technical degree preferably in the engineering and or business management fields.<\/div>\n
