With a multidisciplinary team of over 80 professionals and a presence in the market since 2008, <strong>GWIC<\/strong> stands out for its commitment to technical excellence, innovation, and integrated solutions for its clients.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and dynamic <strong>Country Manager<\/strong> to lead our office in <strong>Maputo, Mozambique<\/strong>. The selected candidate will play a key role in the strategic management of local operations, business development, and the supervision of engineering and infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Represent <strong>GWIC<\/strong> in <strong>Mozambique<\/strong>, managing relationships with clients, partners, and local authorities.<\/li>\n<li>Lead and supervise the <strong>Maputo <\/strong>office team and day-to-day operations.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the implementation and supervision of projects, ensuring compliance with deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.<\/li>\n<li>Identify new business opportunities and support the expansion of <strong>GWIC<\/strong>\u2019s footprint in the Mozambican market.<\/li>\n<li>Foster effective communication and alignment between the Maputo office and <strong>GWIC<\/strong>\u2019s other offices worldwide.<\/li>\n<li>Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for both public tenders and private clients.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical obligations in Mozambique.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Profile and Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree (MSc) in Civil Engineering or Architecture (mandatory).<\/li>\n<li>Registered and in good standing with the relevant professional order in <strong>Mozambique<\/strong> (mandatory).<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in project management and team leadership, preferably in an international or multinational environment.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated business development skills and ability to build and maintain institutional and private client relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in digital tools for management and reporting (MS Office, MS Project, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Advanced proficiency in Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) is mandatory.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English (spoken and written) \u2013 mandatory.<\/li>\n<li>Strong results orientation, decision-making ability, and strategic vision.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the engineering and construction sector in <strong>Mozambique <\/strong>is an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Integration in a solid and dynamic company with flagship projects across multiple markets.<\/li>\n<li>A collaborative and multicultural work environment, with real opportunities for professional growth.<\/li>\n<li>Competitive compensation package, adjusted to the experience and responsibilities of the position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates should send their CV and cover letter to <a href=\"mailto:hr@gwicgroup.com\"><strong>hr@gwicgroup.com<\/strong><\/a>, with the subject \u201c<strong>Country Manager \u2013 Mozambique<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Country Manager \u2013 Mozambique (Maputo) &nbsp; About GWIC: GWIC is a global consulting company providing specialised engineering services, with offices in Angola, Brazil, Costa Rica, Portugal, and now Mozambique.
