Heading is recruiting for its client, an oil and gas company, a Contract Engineer\u00a0\u00a0(M\/F)\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>to be based in Maputo.\u00a0<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

– Work closely with the DUET to create the contracts dossier, develop a clear definition of contractual responsibilities and discuss the agenda.<\/p>\n

– Liaise with C and P Methods\/planning\/market and C and P Manager for reporting and statistics matters<\/p>\n

– Keep informed of best practices in contracts procedures for improvement of contracts practices.<\/p>\n

– The job holder executes the following contracts activities.<\/p>\n

– Prepare and maintain an up-to-date list of qualified contractors\/suppliers\/potential tenders\/contracts with updated information to perform market studies.<\/p>\n

– Analyse and assess all possible answers from the market.<\/p>\n

– Participate to the validation of the contract\u2019s strategy.<\/p>\n

– Conduct the Terms and Conditions bid analysis and negotiation.<\/p>\n

– Conduct the commercial bid analysis and negotiation thereby creating a clear definition of responsibilities and documents together with the DUET.<\/p>\n

– Participate in recommendations to award through contracts Committees or DOA award validation and tracing of tender documents.<\/p>\n

– Input all contracts\/suppliers\u2019 data\/documents in the contracts and supplier\u2019s database Monitor on- with the Duet.<\/p>\n

– Be in constant alignment with H3SE company rules, Procedures, Instructions, and applicable legislation.<\/p>\n

– Take the necessary measures to avert immediate threat of danger. Exercising caution as necessary to avoid danger to persons and installations.<\/p>\n

Accountabilities:<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

– To manage procurement processes delivering best quality in time and at the optimal cost .<\/p>\n

– To participate in the improvement of procurement practices<\/p>\n

– To successfully prepare, negotiate and administer a broad range of complex, technical and high value\/risk purchases.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

– Intermediate level in Purchasing Technical Competencies required.<\/p>\n

– C&P tools advanced certification required.<\/p>\n

– Good command of English language<\/p>\n

– Professional experience: 6-7 years (Minimum 2 years in technical contracts domain) with exposure on operations<\/p>\n

– Personal Abilities: Advanced Management, Advanced Human Relations, Problem Solving and Planning \/ organizing \/ coordinating \/ controlling, general knowledge and understanding of commercial, legal and insurance issues affecting the company in general. Customer-oriented, intermediate negotiation skills.<\/p>\n

– Good communication, organizational skills, capabilities to take workload & work under pressure, able to work in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.<\/p>\n
