Heading is recruiting for its client, an oil and gas company, a\u00a0Civil QA\/QC Lead<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0to work in Cabo Delgado.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Main Responsibilities :<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

– Inspire safety commitment in Client and all Contractors and Subcontractors teams via deep knowledge of HSE and leadership by example.<\/p>\n

– Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE requirements across works to promote a healthy and safe work environment.<\/p>\n

– Analyse and report performance of all Contractors and Subcontractors activities, identify any deviations\/risks and contribute to timely propose mitigations to Project Management Team<\/p>\n

– Assist the Area Manager to ensure compliance with agreed standards and specifications.<\/p>\n

– To maintain good relationships with Contractors\/Subcontractors, whilst ensuring the necessary controls are in place to achieve the objectives of the Project.<\/p>\n

– Report activities which may have a detrimental effect on schedule and cost Area Management Team.<\/p>\n

– To liaise with other disciplines, Safety, Cost, Planning and Administration sections to improve effectiveness of the team.<\/p>\n

– Keep Area Manager informed of all events which may affect the successful completion of the project goals.<\/p>\n

– Act as primary QA \/ QC \/ Inspection Representative with main Contractor ensuring that he is fully conversant and compliant with all Company\u00a0project QA \/ QC \/ Inspection related standards and procedures.<\/p>\n

– Review\/comment on contractors\u2019 quality plans, ITP\u2019s and related documentation<\/p>\n

– Ensure correct inspection manpower levels are maintained by contractor and subcontractors<\/p>\n

– Ensure that all nonconformities are resolved, track trends and make recommendations to Area<\/p>\n

– Manage the following Site QA \/ QC \/ Inspection interfaces and ensure that Company \/ Project standards and procedures are fully aligned:<\/p>\n

– Participate in daily\/weekly\/monthly meetings as required<\/p>\n

– Compile necessary reports (daily\/weekly\/monthly) related to the discipline and scope<\/p>\n

– Advise Area Manager and other Discipline Superintendents on all aspects of QA \/ QC \/ Inspection Management and ensure that interfaces with other disciplines are managed effectively.<\/p>\n

– Supervise and control the Contractors, their sub-contractors and extended supply chain in all QA\/QC and Inspection activities, to ensure that the Plant is constructed in compliance with COMPANY specifications, agreed external specifications, approved procedures, and drawings, etc.<\/p>\n

– Provide leadership, supervision, guidance and mentoring to personnel with a focus on National development.<\/p>\n

– Assist to gather and validates \u2018lessons learnt\u2019 from all project team and provides feedback.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Accountabilities<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

– Primary objective is to ensure that all project CIVIL QA\/QC activities are conducted in a manner compliant with Project requirements with EPC Contractor as per project rules including project objectives for HSE, Quality, Schedule, and Cost aspect.<\/p>\n

– Coach and monitor Company, contractors, and subcontractors\u2019 personnel to ensure the required standards are met.<\/p>\n

– Coordination with other departments for the safe and on\u2010time execution of the work, to deliver a fit\u2010for\u2010purpose facility.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Qualifications\/Experience required<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

–\u00a0 Engineering degree or equivalent in related discipline with post qualification in QA and QC\/Inspection within Oil and Gas<\/p>\n

– 15 years\u2019 experience in related discipline works and a suitable general knowledge in oil and gas industry.<\/p>\n

– Minimum 10 years of specific CIVIL QA\/QC previous experience.<\/p>\n

– Full understanding of areas critical to the success of large complex projects: safety, environmental, work organization, cost, schedule, quality, organizational competency, and reputational risk.<\/p>\n

– Strong HSE culture and safety leadership, effective communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence critical decisions.<\/p>\n

– Strong English written and verbal communication skills required. Portuguese or French is advantageous.<\/p>\n
