This role requires an individual with a strong civil engineering background and proven experience managing complex project timelines and resources in either <strong>marine infrastructure<\/strong> or <strong>large-scale infrastructure projects<\/strong> such as <strong>roads, railways, metro systems<\/strong>, or similar.<\/p>\n<p>This is an <strong>urgent requirement<\/strong>, and the selected candidate must be ready to <strong>relocate and join within 20 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and manage the master construction schedule using <strong>Primavera P6<\/strong> or <strong>MS Project<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), resource histograms, and progress S-curves.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lead planning efforts for all aspects of port construction or high-scale infrastructure projects<\/strong>, including marine piling, quay walls, dredging, jetties, breakwaters, roads, railways, or metro systems.<\/li>\n<li>Perform <strong>Critical Path Method (CPM)<\/strong> analysis and identify schedule risks and mitigation plans.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor project progress, generate look-ahead schedules, and provide accurate forecasting.<\/li>\n<li>Manage <strong>resource planning<\/strong>, optimization, and coordination across departments and subcontractors.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and present <strong>progress reports<\/strong>, delay analysis, recovery plans, and extension of time (EOT) claims.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project milestones.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with <strong>environmental, safety, and port authority<\/strong> regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and mentor junior planning staff and ensure quality of planning deliverables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bachelor\u2019s Degree (B.Tech \/ B.E.) in Civil Engineering<\/strong> (mandatory).<\/li>\n<li>Additional certifications such as <strong>Primavera P6<\/strong>, <strong>PMP<\/strong>, or equivalent are preferred.<\/li>\n<li><strong>10 to 15 years of experience<\/strong> in planning and scheduling either <strong>marine infrastructure<\/strong> or <strong>large-scale civil projects<\/strong> (e.g., <strong>roads, railways, metro, or port construction<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of <strong>Primavera P6<\/strong>, <strong>MS Project<\/strong>, <strong>Excel<\/strong>, and planning best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Strong <strong>leadership<\/strong>, <strong>coordination<\/strong>, and <strong>decision-making<\/strong> abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal <strong>communication<\/strong> and <strong>reporting<\/strong> skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple planning functions under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Must be willing to <strong>relocate to Maputo, Mozambique<\/strong> and <strong>available to join within 20 days<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apply for this job: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/4220452387\/?refId=je6uG4dkld9iip2YgM9X0Q%3D%3D&amp;trackingId=je6uG4dkld9iip2YgM9X0Q%3D%3D\">https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/4220452387\/?refId=je6uG4dkld9iip2YgM9X0Q%3D%3D&amp;trackingId=je6uG4dkld9iip2YgM9X0Q%3D%3D<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer \u2013 Port Construction Project Location: Maputo, Mozambique Project Duration: 2 Years Type: Full-Time (On-Site) Joining: Immediate (within 20 days maximum) Job Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Planning Engineer to lead the planning and scheduling function for a major port construction project in Maputo, Mozambique.
