Duties & Responsibilities<\/span><\/td>\n\n

  • Control the use of resources and operational activities<\/li>\n
  • Responsible for ensuring that tires used by vehicles, trucks or tractors, and heavy equipment are in good condition for the road and will ensure the safety of vehicle users<\/li>\n
  • Responsible for the appropriate and more ecological disposal of scrap metal and must repair and replace vehicle components related to tires, whether inner tubes, rims, wheels or others.<\/li>\n
  • ensure that tires are inflated as specified by their manufacturers, you will stock tires weekly,<\/li>\n
  • Carrying out road repairs.<\/li>\n
  • Rotate tires to different positions on vehicles using hand tools.<\/li>\n
  • Seal punctures in tubeless tires by inserting adhesive material and expanding rubber plugs into drilling, with hand tools.<\/li>\n
  • Separate tube tires from wheels using rubber hammers and metal bars or mechanical tire changers.<\/li>\n
  • Unscrew the vehicle’s wheels and remove them, using tire irons and other hand and power tools.<\/li>\n
  • Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed.<\/li>\n
  • Clean the sides of whitewall tires.<\/li>\n
  • Service trucks to industrial sites to provide services and respond to emergency calls.<\/li>\n
  • Identify and inflate tires correctly for size and ply.Order tire and tube replacements.<\/li>\n
  • Apply rubber cement to polished tire casings before the vulcanization process.<\/li>\n
  • Buff the defective areas of the inner tubes using scrapers.<\/li>\n
  • Glue boots (tire patches) over ruptures in tire casings using rubber cement.<\/li>\n
  • Fill the inner tubes and soak them in water to locate leaks.<\/li>\n
  • Inspect tire casings for defects such as punctures and tears.<\/li>\n
  • Locate punctures in tubeless tires by visual inspection or by immersing inflated tires in water baths and watching for air bubbles.<\/li>\n
  • Patch pipes with adhesive rubber patches or seal rubber patches on pipes using hot vulcanization plates.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare wheel rims and drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding or sandblasting.<\/li>\n
  • Raise vehicles with hydraulic jacks.<\/li>\n
  • Remount the tires on the wheels.<\/li>\n
  • Reinstall the wheels on the vehicles.<\/li>\n
  • Assess tire damage and wear<\/li>\n
  • Advise the workshop foreman about tires<\/li>\n
  • Drive vehicles on winches or jacks in preparation for tire removal and repair (driver’s license required)<\/li>\n
  • Change, repair or install tires, as well as balancing and pressure testing tires<\/li>\n
