Mozambique<\/p>\n<p><b>REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Internal Reporting \/Key Relationships<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Production departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Process Governance and Improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Engineering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Maintenance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Asset Management Principals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>External Reporting \/ Key Relationships<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Contracting partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Engineering and technical consultants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>PURPOSE <\/b><b>Describe the intent of this position <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Supports the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems within our aluminium smelter plant.<\/p>\n<p>He\/she plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of design deliverables, adhering to project schedules, and maintaining the high safety and quality standards of the company.Page 2 of 3<\/p>\n<p><b>ACCOUNTABILITIES <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Leadership <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Deliver \u201cWe all guarantee everyone goes home safe and well\u201d through creating a culture of care and accountability as an enabler to continuously learn and improve;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all work is well designed and guaranteed to deliver safe outcomes;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that material risks are identified, and related critical controls are implemented and are effective;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders, i.e., Operations Superintendents, Supervisors, Engineers and Maintainers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Technical support <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform design calculations and develop electrical systems, schematics, and layouts for aluminium smelter plant projects;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with Electrical Engineers, Instrumentation Engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Produce detailed electrical design drawings, including wiring diagrams, power distribution, motor control centres, and instrumentation systems;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Review and interpret technical specifications, codes, and standards to ensure compliance withindustry practices;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure safety in design, particularly for high-voltage systems and hazardous areas within the smelter;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Provide technical input during project planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Identify and implement design improvements and innovations to enhance system reliability and efficiency;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in the integration of emerging technologies and best practices into project designs;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all relevant change control documentation are updated to \u201cas-built\u201d status.Page 3 of 3<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Qualification\/s Required<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant Degree in Electrical Engineering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Technical\/Specialist Skills<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar tools);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong knowledge of electrical standards, regulations, and codes (e.g., SANS, IEC, NEC, etc.);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluent in Portuguese and English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 10-15 years of experience as an Electrical Designer, with at least 5 years in heavy industrial projects, preferably in aluminium smelters or related industries;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with high-voltage systems, power distribution, and instrumentation design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>POSITION DESCRIPTION DETAILS Position Title: Electrical Designer Engineering Reports to:Engineering Governance &amp;
