ABOUT THE ROLE:<\/b><\/p>\n

This role is a permanent full-time position.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0an\u00a0Environmental Specialist<\/b>,\u00a0you will\u00a0oversee the Environment work at the Mozal Operation to effectively manage the execution of activities that the Environment function is accountable for, across the operation including Environment projects.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Other key responsibilities include, but aren\u2019t limited to:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022Maintain existing approvals and\/or licences, including managing amendments and\/ or obtaining new licences to sustain production, provide technical support to the operation, to ensure line leaders\u00a0are able\u00a0to\u00a0meet environment regulatory commitments using the compliance systems and processes; Plan and execute work to meet environmental regulatory commitments and internal\u00a0requirements;<\/div>\n
\u2022Provide support and technical advice\/coaching for management on site environment matters (including significant event investigations), regulatory requirements and compliance issues, engaging with the global discipline team when the event is an Actual Level 3+ or Potential Level 4+;<\/div>\n
\u2022Develop and maintain Operation specific environmental documentation (management plans, procedures, SWI\u2019s etc) in line with regulatory requirements, Environment Standard and Operation\u2019s risk profile, design and execution of the Operation\u2019s environmental monitoring programs, ensuring the programs are fit for purpose (e.g.\u00a0sized right, leveraging technology etc), aligned with regulatory requirements and the risk profile of the\u00a0operation;<\/div>\n
\u2022Maintain process for the collection and verification of environmental data relevant to the\u00a0Operation, and\u00a0undertake data analysis on a regular basis to identify emerging compliance and\/or environmental\u00a0issues.<\/div>\n

ABOUT YOU:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022Over\u00a05 years\u2019 experience in an Environmental Specialist role in an Industrial or mining\u00a0setting;<\/div>\n
\u2022Fluent\u00a0in Portuguese and\u00a0English.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Qualifications for this role are:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Environment\/Science \/ Engineering \/\u00a0 or Similar.<\/div>\n
