Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\u00b7 Supervise payments to suppliers ensuring timeliness & accuracy;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist the Finance Manager in completing all month-end financial reporting input by computing month end data sheets and processing complex period end journals;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Manage intercompany recoveries process by ensuring that ST transactions with other Group companies are communicated timely, and status on recovery thereof tracked weekly and supported in a weekly reconciliation to be communicated to the Finance Manager and General Manager;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Preparation of Additional Monthly Financial reporting comprising major operational expense reconciliations (fuel, driver expenses, payroll, etc), and monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations covering all significant classes of assets and liabilities;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Preparation of VAT statements, Income Tax and other Tax compliance through review & analysis as well as coordination with Authorities, inclusive of submission preparations and communications with local finance Authorities on VAT reimbursements;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 In conjunction with the Finance Manager and Finance Analyst \u2013 Group Mozambique, contribute to the various parts of the accounting routine procedures development process leading to the issuing of SOP\u2019s through liaising with the various relevant stakeholders, analysis and review;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 In conjunction with the Operations and Workshop managers, ensure accuracy of inventory records in the ERP system by continuous management review and testing of controls, inclusive of review of stock count data and stock movement reports;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist Finance Manager in communications and processes with bankers as relates ST bank guarantees and compliance with foreign payment related exchange control regulations,<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ensure accuracy of accounting including classification, completeness and valuation in the financial ERP system by continuous management review and testing of controls, inclusive of tracking and periodically reporting on progress with implementation of internal and external audit recommendations;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist Finance Manager in monitoring finance data quality through reconciliation, auditing, variance analysis, etc.;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist finance manager to maintain optimal level of accounting staff with maximum output through Performance Evaluation and staff planning;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Supervise Cash Control monthly Cash Reconciliation of Financial & Operational Systems;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist Finance Manager in performing cash flow planning to ensure the business manages its operational funding requirements;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Providing Information in any financial data requested by management as quick as possible through daily planning;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ensuring key daily and weekly reporting such as Age Analysis, Bank Reconciliation, etc. are done on timely basis through managing, delegating, prioritizing finance department schedules;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Coordinate with External and Internal Auditors by providing all requested information.<\/p>\n
Job Role Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\u00a7 BCom. in Commerce or Finance or equivalent, post-graduate degree is desired;<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Professional Accounting Designation Required;<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Experience required (minimum\/maximum): 3-5 years in Accounting \/ Finance area at a Supervisory or Management Level or equivalent in Audit;<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Knowledge of IFRS and IAS is desirable;<\/p>\n
\u00a7 IT knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products (word; excel; power point), ERP experience;<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Fluent in Portuguese, with proficiency in English as an advantage;<\/p>\n
