{"id":18003,"date":"2025-03-01T06:15:20","date_gmt":"2025-03-01T06:15:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wizandroidmz.com\/emprego\/?p=18003"},"modified":"2025-03-01T06:15:20","modified_gmt":"2025-03-01T06:15:20","slug":"vaga-technical-director-srh-mnch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wizandroidmz.com\/emprego\/vaga-technical-director-srh-mnch\/","title":{"rendered":"Vaga &#8211; Technical Director \u2013 SRH\/MNCH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PSI is recruiting a Technical Director \u2013 SRH\/MNCH, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.<\/p>\n<h6>Description<\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>PSI is seeking a Technical Director to lead the technical design and implementation of initiatives aimed at promoting innovative SRH interventions including in MNCH and focusing on self-care such as self-injection of Depot Medroxyprogesterone Acetate \u2013 Subcutaneous (DMPA-SC), HPV self-testing, HIV self-testing and other relevant self-care SRH\/MNCH interventions in Mozambique. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health, service delivery, and capacity building, with a specific emphasis on self-injection practices. This role requires demonstrated experience in engaging with government health ministries to influence policy and regulations surrounding SRH and self-care products. This position is contingent upon funding approval<\/li>\n<li>The incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Global Team and the SBC and Evidence departments at PSI Mozambique, to lead technical implementation throughout the project. More specifically, he\/she will:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>Duties<\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to the development and implementation of the technical activities and strategy by leading and introducing innovative technical approaches<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate senior-level dialogue with the national and sub-national governments, donors, professional associations and partners, to ensure that project insights are elevated to influence policy. This includes supporting advocacy efforts at national and sub-national levels to shift policy on the integration of self-care and regular active participation in MoH relevant technical working groups<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical leadership and\/or training to build the capacity of project staff and partners. Build strategic relationships with relevant external stakeholders through technical assistance and capacity building to effectively deliver desired project results<\/li>\n<li>Report regularly on program activities, including documenting key learnings and guidelines. Prepare and submit timely project technical reports for management and donors&#8217; decision- making process. Synthesize lessons learnt documentation and dissemination of best practices<\/li>\n<li>Lead the regular use of qualitative insights, program data and research to identify gaps, and make adaptations and scale-up where possible<\/li>\n<li>Develop, manage, and coordinate a team that includes members from different departments and\/or based in different parts of the country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>Requisites<\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical Doctor (MD)<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s Degree (or international equivalent) MSc, MPH, MBA, MHA, MPA or medical specialty<\/li>\n<li>At least 10 years related work experience in public health or related field with extensive experience working and engaging with the Ministry of Health<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years of demonstrated experience and in-depth technical knowledge in SRH\/MNCH; a significant focus on self-care and service delivery is preferred<\/li>\n<li>Creative thinker with ability to lead technical approach<\/li>\n<li>Ability to provide technical assistance to project staff and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical and quick problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent diplomatic skills and proven ability to work effectively with government officials, partners, donors, and stakeholders at high levels<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with government entities and staff to strengthen the health system<\/li>\n<li>Ability to monitor and assess the performance of self, other individuals, and\/or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate and work across teams and roles. Ability to persuade and motivate people and teams<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and oral communication skills.
