ABOUT THE ROLE:<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This role is a permanent full-time position.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0a\u00a0Senior Structural\u00a0<\/b>Engineer<\/b>,\u00a0you will be responsible for the data collection, inspection, evaluation, and remediation as well as asset life extension actions of infrastructure and buildings, particularly in the context of heavy industrial\u00a0environments.<\/p>\n

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of designs, inspection and maintenance of structures at\u00a0Mozal, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.<\/p>\n

You\u00a0will\u00a0report\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0Superintendent\u00a0Governance and Technical\u00a0Stewardship.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Other key responsibilities include, but aren\u2019t limited to:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Ensure that\u00a0all\u00a0your\u00a0team\u00a0members\u00a0go\u00a0home\u00a0safe\u00a0and\u00a0well\u00a0every\u00a0day;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Ensure that material risks are identified, and related critical controls are implemented and are effective;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Review management of changes for changes done in the plant;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Maintain and issue current and accurate engineering standards, specifications, procedures and drawings for the specific area in line with associated document management standards;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Provide technical expertise on the blueprint, including validate blueprints resulting from the projects;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Civil infrastructure and building condition assessments;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Author and review technical reports;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Lead the preparation of repair designs and specifications;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Site inspection, testing and analysis;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Materials durability assessments and planning;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Provide inputs to asset maintenance strategies;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Perform asset condition assessments and defect management for structures;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Lead structural design tasks independently, with a particular focus on structures, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications, standards;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Review existing designs and provide recommendations for improvements. Revise drawings based on feedback and project changes;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders\u00a0to\u00a0develop and refine design solutions;<\/div>\n

ABOUT YOU:<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Minimum\u00a0of 10-15 years of experience working with structures, preferably in the Aluminium smelting or heavy industrial sector;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Proficient in CAD software, experience with 3D modelling and simulation tools is a plus;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Strong understanding of Structural design principles, materials, and fabrication processes relevant to Aluminium smelting;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as SANS, ASME, API, ANSI, and ISO;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team;<\/div>\n
\u2022\u00a0Fluent in Portuguese and English.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Qualifications for this role are:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Relavent\u00a0Degree or higher in Civil \/ Structural or Materials Engineering or a related\u00a0field.<\/div>\n
