Mozal, SA is a benchmark for mega-projects in developing countries; located in Maputo Province, Mozal produces high-quality, primary aluminium for the domestic and export markets.<\/p>\n

ABOUT THE ROLE:<\/b><\/p>\n

This role is a permanent full-time position.<\/p>\n

\u2022As a\u00a0Superintendent Modifications & Small Projects<\/b>, you will be responsible\u00a0to lead a team in the establishment, management and delivery of a portfolio of projects within the Operations in accordance with relevant processes, standards, and performance targets for HSE and Cost.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Other key responsibilities include, but aren\u2019t limited to:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022Manage the yearly Projects portfolio\u00a0 for an operational area;<\/div>\n
\u2022Manage planning, safe execution and commissioning of approved Modification and Small projects according to agreed scope, budget, schedule and relevant standards and specifications;<\/div>\n
\u2022Liaise with Finance function and operational functions for cost-benefit evaluations, impact assessments, business cases as required to obtain project approvals;<\/div>\n
\u2022Collaborate with the Supply function to ensure availability of materials and services as required for the execution of Modification and Small Projects;<\/div>\n
\u2022Engage with relevant original equipment manufacturers, engineering vendors and construction vendors to manage expert engineering support to the operation;<\/div>\n
\u2022Lead the submission of the\u00a02 and 5 year\u00a0small projects and modifications budget;<\/div>\n
\u2022Endorse, lead implementation and monitor effectiveness of the sub-function improvement initiatives.<\/div>\n

ABOUT YOU:<\/b><\/p>\n

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022Minimum experience of 6 to 8 years in related areas that includes 2 years in a leadership role;<\/div>\n
\u2022Have managed small projects, budgets and operational budgets at a work team level;<\/div>\n
\u2022Show oral\/written proficiency in the English language.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Qualifications for this role are:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022Bachelor Degree (Licenciatura) in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or equivalent.<\/div>\n
